Wildberries is place where community matters. Since our inception we have supported non-profit organizations focusing on local food access, environmental efforts, local sports and the arts, and community assistance programs such as CASA and Northcoast Children's Services- in addition to smaller donations for events. Two years after a transforming pandemic, we increased our efforts in our #GrocerGoals program to do even more- providing expanded support of our local food bank Food for People, all Humboldt County fire stations, and clean-up and environmental programs.

Hunger Relief

Fighting hunger in our community is a top priority.  Here are some of the ways we have partnered with Food for People to create change.

Community Challenge

Every year during the KHSU pledge drive we offer a food challenge.  For every dollar that is donated to KHSU we match it with a dollar in food for our community.

Sponsorships and Donations

We sponsor the Letter Carrier Food Drive and Back Packs for Kids.  Every month we do a large donation to help build meals for those in need in our communities.

Youth Enrichment

We are dedicated to enriching the lives of youth in our community.  We work with a variety of different agencies and specific projects that address the needs of our youth.

Community Challenge

We created a Community Challenge that raised $50,000 towards Humboldt Counties first all inclusive playground.  In 2017 the Greenview Playground opened as the only all inclusive park within 346 miles!

Sponsorships and Donations

Every year we sponsor the Casa Kids Walk and raffle off a 3 minute shopping spree!   Wildberries Marketplace is also a long standing sponsor of the Arcata Art Institute on the Arcata High campus.

Volunteering

We volunteer gallery space for the AAI students to have an ongoing art show on our patio.  Stop by and you will be inspired by the work of these students.

Environmental Conservation

We all have a role in conserving and protecting our environment.  We are partnering with some awesome agencies to make a difference!

Community Challenge

We created a community challenge to raise $50,000 to kick off the renovation of the Friends of the Dunes Nature Center, as well as for the Humboldt Bay Trail Fund.  In just two short months we reached our goal of raising $25,000 from community donations.  Dollar for dollar we are matched those donations, that means $50,000 for the Humboldt Bay Trail Fund!  These funds will go to on-going emergency trail maintenance with emphasis on supporting volunteer efforts.

Sponsorships and Donations

We are proud to sponsor both the Smith River Alliance and the Mad River Alliance. Programs include the Powers Creek Restoration Project in Blue Lake as well as the Smith River Expansion Act. Both programs received $10,000 to continue various projects that provide salmon restoration, watershed protection, and restoration.
